Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes....and Quads, Hammies, TFL, ITB...

It's 11:35. I have less than 48 hours before a kines test plus homework to do. What am I doing, you ask? (If you didn't, I'm going to tell you anyway). Not anything pertaining to above stated subject of study. Model student, I am; take notes.

The last few days have been a little less than normal. First of all, my step-dad's brother-in-law was killed in the line of duty in FL last weekend. He was a police officer. So my Ma, Sis, and other Dad, went down to be with his wife. It's such a tragedy. I cannot imagine how you keep going after something like that. Things like that just don't make sense to me. Justifying it with saying that it was part of the risk of the job, makes it worse for me. My cousin put it into a different perspective for me. She said, "Out of 6 billion people, thousands of police officers in the country, in the state of FL, and in that county, two got killed and one had to be him?" Yes, it could happen to any of them, but the chances, when put like that, seem so slim. It's hard to believe there's a reason for everything when things like this happen. I hope something good can come out of it.

In other news, I've reconnected with 3 of the girls I called my best friends from many years ago. It's been nice seeing and talking with them. Time between bonds like that make for very surreal but wonderful reuniting. Time to dig out some old pics! :)

I made a very awesome purchase yesterday....

I bought it for the low, low price of $7.98. True, I probably could've downloaded it somewhere, but sometimes it's nice to go old school and buy an actual, physical CD. Oh how the times have changed.

Alright, Tensor Fascia Latae is calling....no, it's not coffee; it's a muscle. Tests. Bleh.

  1. I wonder why your blog says Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Doesn't it know it's Groundhog day!?

    I LOVE YOUR BACKGROUND.

You are a model student. :) I like "hammies;" I hope that's on the test.

Your second paragraph makes me sad. I am thankful my dad has not been seriously hurt in his career but everytime a police officer is killed in the line of duty I have to try and catch my breath.

    Yay throwback pics!

I LOVE that soundtrack. I have it too but it's all scratched up. I like the cd jackets so much, I have to have cds too.

I'm glad you sad what Tensor Fascia Latae was because for a second I thought I had accidentally clicked the "change language" button...

    Love you!
