Wee Hour Writing

Fragments of this morning are pieced together in my head. I barely remember what I had for breakfast. The first half of my work day is pretty much a blur. A few strong images stick out. Apparently I'm justifying being awake right now by reminding myself I have the whole day off tomorrow. Guess I don't plan on being too productive...

I like to replay my favorite parts of the day in my head before I sleep, hoping they'll stick. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, sometimes they re-surface days or weeks later. I'm working on collecting moments.

Now I need to work on laying down. But first, my current favorite quotation:

"What is your real work? Is it that which pays the bills or is it your art? I think your real work is healing. Whatever helps you become more loving in this lifetime. Whatever helps you forgive yourself, meet yourself, and free yourself in this lifetime." -Tama Kieves
