Weekend Update Vol. 1

I've been putting this post off, because, well, I'm lazy and because every time I sit down to write, my kitty attacks me with her cuteness and I have to kiss her little face a bajillion times. So this little weekend blog hop is the perfect segue to talk about my....

BIRTHDAY!!!
This picture is not from my most recent birthday.
But, hey, it's still me and it's festive. Let's be honest; I look
exactly the same.

I turned 21 28 whole years old. Which, I hear, is still pretty young contrary to what I kept being told by a certain best friend of mine. (cough, Lauren, cough) Originally, I wasn't going to even acknowledge my birthday this year. Just wasn't feelin' it. But then, last minute, I put together a little dinner and after expecting 4 or 5 people, was happily surprised to have 16 beloved family and friends to share my birthday with. It definitely put me in the spirit and made me feel extra loved!

Along with this super special dinner, the entire day was pretty amazing too. I got two singing Happy Birthday phone calls, breakfast in bed (a family tradition), tons of happy birthday wishes, and a CAKE!

Cake is goooood for you.

So despite my grumpiness and bah-humbug self, the people around me still made sure I had a special day and I think it's been one of the most humbling birthdays I've ever had. And I got to get on stage with a drag queen. Holla. Here are some more pics from the rest of the weekend!
